Sad day
Well there are no pictures today. Only tears. Last night Ji (our husky) had a massive seizure and we made the tough choice to put him down today. He was miserable and restless and would not have tolerated more medication. The vet was very nice, we hadn't seen her before. After assessing him and asking about his history she was actually convinced that he had a brain tumor, and there was nothing we could do for him. We stayed with him as he went to sleep, held him in our arms, and told him how much we love him.

Very, Very sorry for your loss. It never gets any easier and when they are young and so vital.. One of the hardest parts of keeping our furry friends is making the hard decisions you just had to make. We know it is the 'right thing', but that doesn't ease the pain and the loss. Take care of yourself, and I hope you find some comfort that you did the best for him you could, and I think they always know that.

I am so sorry Shula. From the pictures in your last post, he sure looked like a beautiful, young and healthy dog. That has to make it particularly heartbreaking.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I know just how you feel. I am so very sorry for your loss. He was a lucky dog to have been so loved...
